1. Scope & Parties
EH-electronics GmbH, Bosch-Ring 19, D-91161 Hilpoltstein, Germany ("Provider") operates the HipBEE platform ("Service"). By registering for an account, the user ("User") accepts these Terms of Service.

2. Service Description
The Service is a cloud-based IoT platform for monitoring beehives via HipBEE hardware devices. Features include device management, data visualization, API access, and notifications. The scope of features may change over time.

3. User Obligations
The User agrees to: (a) provide accurate and complete registration data; (b) keep account credentials confidential and secure; (c) use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms; (d) not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.

4. Data Collection & Processing
The following data is collected and processed to provide the Service:
• User-provided data: name, email address, phone number, title, password (stored as a secure hash).
• Automatically collected data: IP address, browser information, login timestamps.
• Device data: device IP address, API key, local network IP address, firmware version, sensor readings.
This data is processed solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

5. GDPR Compliance
In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the User has the right to: access, rectification, erasure, data portability, restriction of processing, and objection to processing of their personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact: dsb@hipbees.de.

6. Device Communication
HipBEE devices regularly contact the server, transmitting: IP address, API key, and local network IP address (if configured). This communication is necessary for the operation of the Service.

7. Service Availability
The Provider does not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, or error-free access to the Service. The Service may be affected by technical issues, scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, or external factors beyond the Provider's control.

8. Changes to Service & Terms
The Provider reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or these Terms at any time, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability
The Provider's liability is limited to the extent permitted by German law. The Provider shall not be liable for data loss, service interruptions, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the competent court at the Provider's registered address, to the extent permitted by law.
